The subject is treated in depth in the work of Joseph Campbell “The Hero With A Thousand Faces” which is drawn from an analysis of comparative myth, folklore and religion. I will suggest that perhaps you, yourself, having experienced injury and navigation the void and unknown of civil procedure may find great affinity with the very same “heroes journey” motif that I have come to realize.
